Yulu Launches EV Services in Zirakpur

Zirakpur- Yulu Bikes Pvt Ltd., an electric mobility provider, has launched its services in Zirakpur, Punjab, marking its first franchise-driven entry into North India. The expansion is in partnership with SP NexGen, led by mobility entrepreneur Sahil Goyal, who will oversee the deployment and operations of Yulu’s comprehensive EV ecosystem, including its DeX goods mobility EVs and integrated tech platform.

This milestone marks the northern rollout of Yulu’s Yulu Business Partner (YBP) franchise model, following successful implementations across Central, South, West, and East India over the past year.

Zirakpur’s strategic location serving as a gateway between Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Ambala makes it an ideal hub for sustainable, future-ready mobility. The new deployment will cater to the rising demand for efficient, eco-friendly delivery solutions in the Chandigarh Tricity area, targeting sectors such as grocery and food delivery.

Backed by SP NexGen’s local market expertise and Yulu’s cutting-edge IoT-enabled hardware and support systems, the service will offer a smart, cost-effective alternative to existing last-mile delivery modes. The initial phase includes the rollout of DeX GR EVs in Zirakpur, with upcoming expansions into Peer Muchalla and Kharar. The long-term goal is to significantly increase EV rental penetration across the Tricity region.

Ahead of the launch, pilot deployments were conducted in various brands’ dark stores in Zirakpur to validate product-market fit. Yulu has also facilitated direct business linkages with Swiggy, Zomato, Zepto and Blinkit to ensure early-stage success.
