Bengaluru -Yuma Energy Pvt. Ltd., a battery-as-a-service (BaaS) and energy infrastructure provider, has partnered with Quantum Energy Ltd., an Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, to enable battery swapping compatibility for the Quantum Bziness electric scooter, designed for commercial and last-mile mobility applications.
The collaboration integrates Quantum Energy’s vehicle engineering with Yuma Energy’s battery-swapping network to address vehicle downtime challenges. With a reported network uptime of 99.9 percent, users can seamlessly exchange depleted batteries for fully charged units, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
The partnership is focused on fleet operators, businesses, and independent commercial riders, aiming to maximise vehicle utilisation by eliminating the need for stationary charging. This approach is expected to enhance efficiency, particularly in high-usage environments.
In addition, the initiative is designed to reduce operational costs and environmental impact for commercial EV users. By providing a scalable and reliable energy infrastructure, both companies aim to accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in the commercial transport segment.
