Poole, United Kingdom- Yunex Traffic., a has supplied, commissioned and will maintain rapid DC chargers to meet the needs of Bristol Airport’s airside electric vehicle (EV) fleet. The company is providing full, ongoing service and maintenance support, to ensure the high availability levels that are required for operational performance at one of the UK’s major regional airports.

Bristol Airport is now focused on having a net zero airport operation by 2030 after exceeding its carbon neutrality objective in 2021 by four years. Transit buses, ground handling, security vehicles, and the provision of a dependable charging infrastructure network are only a few of the operational aspects of the airport.

Mr. Wilke Reints, Managing Director of Yunex Traffic in the UK, said that, We are happy to have established a close working relationship with Bristol Airport and to have provided the airport's electric vehicles with new rapid chargers. Our continuing service and support will be essential to both assuring their peak functioning and assisting the airport's effective operations and ambitious net zero ambitions.

Mr. Richard Withey, Energy Efficiency Manager, Bristol Airport, said that, We are happy that another project has been finished, advancing us closer to our net zero objectives. In the busy airside aircraft operating region, the partnership with Yunex Traffic in delivering the electric DC rapid chargers is crucial and improves the effectiveness of aircraft turnarounds.

Yunex Traffic recognizes the importance of effective support for Bristol Airport's EV charging infrastructure in the context of the national charging network. They have established a nationwide team of skilled engineers to ensure efficient maintenance and high availability of chargers. This supports the growing number of electric vehicles in the UK.

As part of future-proofing the charging infrastructure, Yunex Traffic is expanding the network with rapid DC chargers, including the versatile Efacec 60kW DC charger, which can be upgraded to 90kW or 120kW as needed. This expansion caters to Bristol Airport's evolving electric vehicle fleet and high voltage electric vehicles, both airside and landside.
