Australia- Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. presented five bus and coach models at the 2026 Australasia Bus & Coach Expo, held in Sydney from July 15 to 16. Under the theme “Think Eco, Move Green,” the company showcased the U18, E12, E7S, C12 and D7, highlighting its product range for urban public transport, community shuttle services, school operations and tourist passenger transportation.

The 18-metre battery-electric U18 was one of the main attractions at the exhibition, marking its debut in the Australian market. Designed for high-capacity zero-emission public transport, the U18 is equipped with a 528 kWh battery pack and delivers energy consumption of approximately 0.9 kWh per kilometre under SORT2 operating conditions.

The vehicle combines high passenger capacity, energy-efficient operation and reliability with modern exterior styling. Its aerodynamic design and Yutong’s signature Triple-Ring lighting system provide a distinctive appearance, while expanding the options available to Australian operators seeking large-capacity electric buses.

Alongside the U18, Yutong displayed the E12, which is designed for urban and intercity bus operations. The compact E7S is intended for community transport, feeder routes and last-mile shuttle services. The C12 and D7 models are positioned for school transportation, employee commuting, charter operations and group tourism, enabling the company to address a broad range of passenger transport requirements.

Yutong has delivered more than 2,000 vehicles in Australia to date. Its buses and coaches are currently used across urban public transport, tourism, corporate commuting, mining operations and school transportation.

The company’s 2,000th vehicle delivered in Australia was a Yutong C12, which has entered service transporting employees in the local resources sector. The vehicle operates under demanding conditions that include high temperatures, heavy dust and long-distance travel, providing reliable daily transportation for workers.

In addition to vehicle supply, Yutong provides lifecycle support covering operator training, spare-parts availability and after-sales services. These services are intended to reduce vehicle commissioning time, support fleet availability and improve operational efficiency.
