Hisar- Zelio E-Mobility., an electric two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, has announced a new manufacturing facility in Cuttack. This expansion marks a key milestone in the company’s push across eastern India, following strong customer demand and market acceptance in Odisha and West Bengal, now among its most promising regions.

The new plant is strategically located to reduce delivery timelines that previously relied on shipments from its Hisar facility in Haryana. The move is expected to lower logistics costs, improve supply efficiency, and support Zelio’s expansion into southern India.

With the commissioning of the Odisha unit, Zelio’s total production capacity has increased to 1,80,000 units per annum. The Hisar facility has also been upgraded with process optimisation and additional machinery, raising its capacity to 1,20,000 units annually. The Cuttack plant will focus on manufacturing electric two- and three-wheelers and is expected to contribute to revenue immediately.

The facility is projected to generate employment for around 60 to 100 individuals across production and operations. Discussions with the state government regarding incentives and support are ongoing.

Mr.Kunal Arya, Managing Director of Zelio E-Mobility, said, "the Cuttack facility brings the company closer to its key markets, enabling faster deliveries, stronger dealer support, and improved after-sales service. He added that the expansion strengthens supply efficiency and reinforces the company’s commitment to India’s growing EV ecosystem."

The Cuttack plant will also support Zelio’s expanding dealership network by ensuring quicker product availability and better inventory management, as demand for affordable electric mobility continues to grow across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
