Friedrichshafen, Germany- ZF Aftermarket., has launched 25 new Electric Axle Drive Repair Kits for cars and SUVs in the U.S. and Canada. These kits allow independent workshops to repair electric axle drives without removal, streamlining the service process for electric vehicles. This release is part of ZF's broader expansion, which includes 45 new products in the region, complementing their range of electric and hybrid vehicle parts like ZF Lifeguard e-Fluids and TRW Electric Blue brake pads.

With the new e-drive kits, workshops can now efficiently handle a range of repairs. These include replacing leaking coolant connections, fixing defective parking locks, changing speed or temperature sensors, and replacing drive shafts. This expanded capability ensures that vehicles remain in top condition and minimizes downtime for drivers.

ZF Electric Axle Drive Repair Kits include all necessary spare parts and fastening elements, making repairs more straightforward. There's no need to remove the electric motor or axle drive, but it's crucial that only qualified technicians perform the work. High voltage training, provided by ZF Aftermarket, is required to ensure safety and expertise.

Mr. Mark Cali, Head of Independent Aftermarket, USC for ZF Aftermarket, said “Repair shops are seeing more electric cars and need spare parts to service them. As one of the leading producers of electric drives worldwide, ZF is now making its products available to the independent aftermarket in our region. We are excited to launch these specially compiled kits for 25 repair scenarios on electric axle drives.”

Electric motors generally wear less than combustion engines, but repairs may be needed over time due to dirt, corrosion, or accidents. ZF Aftermarket now offers 25 Electric Axle Drive Repair Kits, with details available in their Online Product Catalog. More kits for various vehicle brands are planned.

Additionally, ZF Aftermarket has launched 10 new TRW Brake Pad part numbers, expanding coverage to over 2 million vehicles. This is part of their 255 new products for passenger vehicles in the USC region in 2024, including parts under ZF, LEMFÖRDER, SACHS, TRW, and WABCO brands.
