India- Zuperia Auto Pvt Ltd (formerly known as Lohia Auto) has entered the electric passenger three-wheeler segment with the launch of the Youdha epod, priced at ₹2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The company also announced plans to enter the electric two-wheeler (2W) market within two years under a completely new brand, as part of its goal to reach ₹1,000 crore in revenue by 2030.
Youdha epod: Targeting Urban EV Commuters
The Youdha epod is a newly launched electric passenger vehicle in the L5 category, aimed at urban and semi-urban mobility needs. With a competitive price and compact design, it will take on established players in India’s growing electric three-wheeler market, including Mahindra, Bajaj, and Piaggio.
Zuperia aims to sell around 3,000 units by March 2026, building on its success from FY2024–25, where it sold nearly 10,000 e-rickshaw and cargo vehicles.
EV Roadmap: Electric 2W Launch by 2027
CEO Ayush Lohia confirmed that Zuperia is working on launching electric two-wheelers under a new standalone brand. This EV brand will focus on the personal mobility segment and will operate independently from the Youdha and Lohia labels.
In addition, the company plans to introduce a larger 3-wheeler model with capacity for six passengers plus driver, expanding its offerings for fleet and shared mobility operators.
Manufacturing & Scale Plans
Zuperia’s vehicles are manufactured at its Kashipur, Uttarakhand plant, which has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh electric vehicles. The company aims to reach 70–80% capacity utilization over the next few years to meet demand and achieve its ₹1,000 crore revenue target by 2030.
