Ashok Leyland launches new AVTR tipper models

The AVTR range comes with H6 and A4 engines for the present and will deliver a maximum of 250 HP.

Chennai –Ashok Leyland Ltd of Chennai, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles has launched its new range of AVTR tipper models with high horse-power(320hp) - AVTR 2832¹ and AVTR 3532². The CVs are powered by 8.0L A6 Series engines with iGEN6 technology and generate 320HP and deliver 1200NM torque. The A6 engines are indigenously designed and developed by Ashok Leyland, which the company says offer excellent torque, incredible acceleration, pulling power and unmatched fuel efficiency.

The AVTR range comes with H6 and A4 engines for the present and will deliver a maximum of 250 HP. However, there has been a need for a vehicle in the deep mining tipper segment, as the vehicles need to negotiate steep gradients with very high payloads. With the launch of AVTR 2832 and AVTR 3532, Ashok Leyland says it will fill this gap and strengthening the tipper portfolio. The launch of these vehicles with the high horsepower A6 engines will help customers for applications like road construction, irrigation, deep mining, boulder quarry and others.

¹AVTR 2832 of 28t GVW is powered with A6 Series engine, BS-VI 6 cylinder with i-Gen6 technology develops an output of  320hp and Torque 1200 Nm which is matched with 9 speed DD gearbox with crawler gear, FGR 8.83:1. The chassis of 4100mm WB is fitted with 10T Zero Drop axle at front and MT610, RAR 7.2:1, Hub reduction axle with RAR 7.2:1 at rear and it is suspended with Front – Parabolic Springs with Shock absorbers  & antiroll bar and Rear – Inverted semi elliptical tandem Bogie. Featured with Tiltable Day Cabin, front pivoted rear suspended, AC, Cabin (Non AC optional)

²AVTR 3532 of 35t GVW is powered with A6 Series engine, BS-VI 6 cylinder with i-Gen6 technology develops an output of  320hp and Torque 1200 Nm which is matched with 9 speed DD gearbox with crawler gear, FGR 8.83:1. The chassis of 5250mm WB is fitted with 10T Zero Drop axle at front and Hub reduction axle with RAR 7.2:1 at rear and it is suspended with Front – Parabolic Springs with Shock absorbers  & antiroll bar and Rear – Inverted semi elliptical tandem Bogie. Featured with Tiltable Day Cabin, front pivoted rear suspended, AC Cabin (Non AC optional).
