      Virginia, United state- BAE Systems Inc., advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services, and Eaton Corporation plc, a power management company, are expanding their collaboration, they're now offering comprehensive EV solutions for heavy-duty trucks. This advanced system provides OEMs and modifiers with efficient, flexible options for zero-emission platforms.

      In 2023, BAE Systems and Eaton agreed to provide electric drive solutions for medium-duty trucks. Now, their collaboration extends to heavy-duty applications, offering a complete range of electric drive systems for trucks over 19 tons. BAE Systems will integrate its electric motor and power electronics with Eaton’s HD 4-speed EV transmission to offer a comprehensive heavy-duty EV system. This system is suitable for various applications including pick-up trucks, buses, and haul trucks.

      The BAE Systems and Eaton solution combines decades of experience in vehicle electrification to meet the demands of the commercial truck market. BAE Systems' power electronics offer reliability and adaptability with advanced materials and a modular design. Eaton's MD and HD EV transmissions are purpose-built to enhance range and performance. With over 25 years of innovation, BAE Systems has powered low- and zero-emission platforms globally, with over 16,000 propulsion systems in operation across various vehicles.

      Mr. Bob Lamanna, vice president and general manager of Power & Propulsion Solutions at BAE Systems, said, “We are combining our expertise and proven technology to provide customers with a complete EV solution.”

      Mr. Mark Kramer, business unit director, ePowertrain, Eaton’s Vehicle Group, said “By expanding our scope to include more vehicle ratings, our robust system ensures high performance and reliability across a wider range of classes and sizes.”
