Knoxville, Tennessee Blue Diamond Attachments, a compact equipment attachments manufacturer, has expanded its attachment portfolio with the launch of the new Heavy Duty Open Front Brush Cutter, designed for skid steers and compact track loaders with up to 75 horsepower and standard-flow hydraulics.

With a 72-inch cutting width, the new brush cutter is built to handle grass, dense brush, and trees up to 4 inches in diameter. Its open front design features a heavy-duty push bar that helps feed standing trees and thick brush more efficiently than traditional closed-front models, improving productivity in demanding clearing applications.

According to Blue Diamond, the new attachment is positioned to fill a gap in its lineup by delivering professional-grade cutting performance without the cost associated with extreme-duty models.

The Heavy Duty Open Front Brush Cutter is equipped with an oil-filled direct-drive system, which is engineered to reduce the risk of lower bearing seal failure while also providing greater power transfer and improved resistance to impact compared with gearbox-driven brush cutters.

Its cutting system includes three 1/2-inch double-sided drop-down blades, designed to provide longer service life, improved balance, and a cleaner finish than conventional two-blade setups. Durability is further enhanced by a 1/4-inch steel deck reinforced with structural cross-bracing for added strength and rigidity.

Additional features include bi-directional cutting control from the cab, allowing operators to reverse blade rotation instantly without changing hoses, helping save time on the job. The cutter is powered by a 130cc Eaton geroler hydraulic motor with an integrated pressure relief system, housed in a fully enclosed compartment to reduce overheating and protect against debris ingress. A 3/4-inch blade carrier adds further cutting strength to the three-blade configuration.

Mr. Drew Truan, CEO of Blue Diamond, said, “The new cutter addresses a key market need by combining the strength and durability of a direct-drive cutter with competitive pricing, making it a practical choice for professionals seeking reliable performance and long service life.”
