BMW Launches New 2 Series Gran Coupé in India

Gurugram- BMW India Private Limited., a German car manufacturer, has officially launched the all-new BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, marking the debut of the second-generation model. Locally produced at BMW Group Plant Chennai, the new model will be offered exclusively with a petrol powertrain. Bookings and deliveries have begun across BMW dealerships nationwide.

The new 2 Series Gran Coupé showcases bold styling with a sharper front profile, flowing coupé roofline, and a more dynamic rear. Now measuring 4546mm in length, 1800mm in width, and 1445mm in height, the model features increased dimensions for improved space and road presence. It also introduces BMW’s Iconic Glow Kidney Grille, updated adaptive LED headlights, frameless doors, and signature M Sport package elements, including a bold front apron, gloss black rear diffuser, and 18-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels.

Inside, the cabin is entirely redesigned with a BMW Curved Display, running the latest Operating System 9 with QuickSelect for intuitive control. Features include a head-up display with augmented view, Harman Kardon 205W sound system, panoramic sunroof, and digitally animated ambient lighting. Upholstery is sustainable and leather-free, available in Veganza Perforated Mocha or Oyster.

Under the hood is a 1.5-litre TwinPower Turbo petrol engine, producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque. Paired with a 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission, the car accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, with a top speed of 230 km/h. Enhancements include re-engineered suspension, sport boost function, improved ride quality, and sport seats with electric adjustment and memory function.

The new 2 Series comes with BMW Digital Key Plus, Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant, and My BMW App functionalities. Driver assistance features include Parking Assistant Plus with surround view, Reversing Assistant, BMW Driving Assistant with Blind Spot Detection, Collision Warnings, and Lane Departure Alerts.

BMW offers various ownership benefits with the Service Inclusive and Service Inclusive Plus plans covering up to 10 years/200,000 km. Buyers can finance the car with BMW Smart Finance, offering monthly payments starting at ₹35,000 and an assured buyback at the end of the term. Customers can also finance extended warranty and service packages for added peace of mind.
