NASHVILLE, Tennessee - Bridgestone Americas., a tires manufacturer, has launched the V-Steel Highway Service 3 (VHS3), a high-speed radial tire engineered for mobile and all-terrain cranes. Designed for both on- and off-road use, the VHS3 offers crane operators improved stability, control, and confidence while transporting heavy loads across varied job sites.
Mr. Rob Seibert, President of Off-the-Road, Bridgestone Americas, said, “Mobile and all-terrain cranes arguably tackle some of the most demanding and high-stakes work of any of the off-the-road machines. Crane operators lift and transport heavy materials across job sites and travel at high speeds on different terrains, making a reliable and durable tire essential for any large-scale project. The new Bridgestone VHS3 tire is designed to give crane operators the confidence needed to move more, faster.”
The VHS3 is DOT-approved and succeeds the VHS2 tire, delivering several key enhancements:
- Longer Tire Life: Advanced rubber compounds and new sidewall construction reduce heat buildup and irregular wear, extending tire life by 12%.
- Improved Grip: Wider grooves and extended tread lugs enhance traction and stability across highways and off-road surfaces.
- Lighter Casing Design: Redesigned belt, bead, and shoulder structures help reduce fuel consumption while maintaining load capacity.
Available now in size 445/95R25 174F, the VHS3 joins Bridgestone’s expanding portfolio of specialty tires for heavy-duty equipment, including container handlers, reach stackers, straddle carriers, and articulated trucks.
