Basildon, United Kingdom - Case Construction Equipment., a construction equipment manufacturer, has expanded its D Series mini excavator lineup with the introduction of three new 3-ton-class models: the CX30D, CX34D and CX38D. The new machines were unveiled at ConExpo 2026 as part of the company’s continued rollout of its compact excavator range.
Powered by 24.4-horsepower engines, the new mini excavators are designed for compact jobsites, offering zero-tailswing operation, improved operator comfort and greater attachment versatility. The zero-tailswing design allows operators to work efficiently near walls, foundations, structures and other restricted areas.
The new models join Case’s existing D Series range, which includes the CX12D, CX19D, CX42D, CX50D and CX60D. Case says the machines feature a well-balanced undercarriage to support stable and steady operation in demanding jobsite conditions.
Inside the cab, the excavators offer an automotive-style operator environment with ergonomic pilot controls, an adjustable suspension seat and strong all-around visibility. The CX30D and CX38D come with a lighting package and a long arm with thumb bracket, while the CX38D also offers auxiliary hydraulic flow control and electronic throttle control with auto idle for smoother and more efficient operation.
The CX38D can also be equipped with an optional six-way dozer blade for grading and backfilling applications. All three models are compatible with a wide range of attachments for digging, trenching, dirt moving, vegetation management and other compact construction tasks. A pin-on bucket is included as standard.
Operators can change attachments easily using multifunction one-way and two-way hydraulics, along with a second two-way auxiliary hydraulic circuit. Optional third hydraulic and constant-flow circuits allow the machines to run heavier-duty attachments, including mulchers.
Optional equipment includes an anti-theft system, attachment quick couplers, an additional bolt-on counterweight, automatic centralized lubrication and rearview mirrors.
