Case CE Launches D Series Motor Graders for Roadbuilding

Turin, Italy - CASE Construction Equipment., a brand of CNH and a construction machinery manufacturer, has launched its next-generation D Series motor graders, designed for superior performance and operator comfort. The lineup includes the 836D with 154 horsepower and 12.3 metric tons, and the 856D with 192 horsepower and 15.4 metric tons, both built to excel in roadbuilding and grading applications.

Both machines are powered by a six-cylinder FPT diesel engine featuring Hi-eSCR2 emissions technology, delivering a dual power curve that automatically adjusts power output based on transmission ratios. This ensures optimum performance at all speeds while meeting the latest emission standards. The engine is compatible with hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) diesel and uses a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) combined with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) for cleaner operation.

The D Series motor graders are available in four-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. All-wheel-drive models feature a creep mode, ideal for precise compaction work. An Ergopower transmission provides seamless gear shifting for smoother operation across varied jobsite conditions.

Case CE’s D Series motor graders feature a redesigned cab with a low-profile design for easier transport and improved visibility. Key upgrades include a new 8-inch touchscreen, full-width tinted windows, an electronic hand throttle, USB ports, and added storage compartments—all designed to enhance operator comfort and control.

Operators can choose between mechanical levers or electro-hydraulic joysticks with three-axis controls for precise moldboard adjustments and comfort steering. The joysticks are integrated into adjustable armrests on a heated, air-suspended seat. Each D Series grader also comes with Case SiteConnect modem, enabling real-time telematics for machine monitoring and fleet management.
