Turin, Italy - CASE Construction Equipment., a construction equipment manufacturer, has launched the new CX380E large excavator, designed to boost productivity while reducing fuel consumption by up to 18 percent. Powered by a 268-horsepower engine and weighing 83,114 lbs (37,700 kg), the CX380E is built for tough tasks like land clearing, trenching, pipe craning, and rock breaking, making it a reliable choice for construction crews and rental companies alike.
The excavator delivers strong performance with a 56,000 lb breakout force and fast cycle times. Operators can select from four fuel-efficient work modes - Super Power, Power, Eco, and Lifting, offering up to 10 throttle settings to match power to the job. Eco mode significantly cuts fuel use compared to previous models. Advanced telematics provide precise fuel and operational data, helping users maximize efficiency.
Operator control and comfort are key features. The CX380E includes customizable controls, a 10-inch touchscreen that stores settings for up to 10 attachments, and an intelligent Hydraulic Flow Control Balance system to optimize hydraulic responsiveness. Selectable free swing improves stability and safety when lifting or working on uneven ground. A 270-degree camera system enhances visibility for safer operation, while arm and swing preferences can be customized.
The spacious cab prioritizes operator comfort with heated, air-suspension seating, ample legroom, and a suspended operator station that locks the seat and consoles together, ensuring ergonomic access regardless of operator size. These features reduce fatigue and help maintain productivity during long shifts.
Maintenance is simplified through advanced telematics that allow dealers to remotely run diagnostics and update software, reducing downtime and service costs. The CX380E also comes with CASE ProCare support, including a 3-year/3,000-hour full machine factory warranty, 3-year/2,000-hour planned maintenance, and a 5-year advanced telematics subscription.
Mr. Terry Dolan, Head of CNH Construction Brands, North America, said, "Big jobs demand big machines and the CASE CX380E large excavator is exactly that. Built like a beast, it delivers more power and more torque with faster response times. But it also delivers big on the total operator control that our customers expect from CASE."
