Irving, Texas – Caterpillar Inc., a construction equipment manufacturer, is expanding material handler lineup with the launch of the next-generation Cat MH3032. Positioned between the MH3026 and MH3040, this machine enhances the 30 MT design to fill a crucial gap in the range.
The MH3032 offers an impressive reach of nearly 15 meters and comes with both drop-nose and straight-stick configurations. It efficiently handles typical scrap materials with its standard Cat orange-peel grapple, which has a 1-cubic-meter capacity. Additionally, a 20-kW generator supports magnet attachments for enhanced versatility.
The MH3032, powered by the Cat C7.1 engine, and meets U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final, EU Stage V, and Japan 2014 emission standards. Depending on regional availability, it can also operate with emissions equivalent to U.S. EPA Tier 3 and EU Stage IIIA.
The MH3032 features built-in technology for real-time load monitoring and tonnage tracking. Its standard Cat 2D E-fence ensures safe operation by keeping the arm within a set work zone. The new Swing Assist feature enhances precision by automatically stopping swing motion at a preset point.
The in-cab monitor provides dual external camera views, ensuring clear visibility and enhanced hazard awareness. While the MH3032 is a completely new addition to the material handler lineup, it incorporates proven components from the MH3000 next-generation range.
Mr. Vincent Migeotte, Senior Product and Sales Consultant at Caterpillar, said, “Material handling is all about efficiency. How can you move and sort materials - waste, scrap, or recycling - in as little time as possible, with as few moves as possible, using as little fuel as possible, and all without compromising safety or operator comfort. That's the essential principle of our next-gen architecture. Keeping control over operating costs, without sacrificing performance, and it's those parameters that come to the forefront in the MH3032.”
