New Delhi, India -Ducati India., has launched the 2026 Ducati Monster in India, introducing the fifth-generation model with a new 890cc V2 engine, lighter chassis, updated ergonomics, and advanced electronic features.
The new Monster is powered by an 890cc V2 engine with Intake Variable Timing (IVT), producing 110 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 91.1 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. The engine is also lighter than its predecessor, helping reduce the motorcycle's overall weight.
The motorcycle features a monocoque frame, a double-sided swingarm, and a revised rear structure. With a quoted wet weight of 175 kg without fuel, the new Monster is around 4 kg lighter than the previous generation.
Ducati has also improved rider comfort with a lower 815mm seat, a narrower seat profile, and revised handlebar positioning. The updated design is intended to make the motorcycle easier to handle while maintaining its sporty riding character.
The electronics package includes a six-axis IMU, cornering ABS, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control, and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. Riders can choose from Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet riding modes.
The new Monster also gets a 5-inch TFT display with an updated interface. The system supports smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, cruise control, and the Ducati Multimedia System.
Ducati has also extended the maintenance interval, with valve-clearance inspections required every 45,000 km, helping reduce long-term maintenance requirements.
The 2026 Ducati Monster is available in Ducati Red, Iceberg White, and Sport Livery options, with the Monster+ variant adding additional styling and convenience features.
