Ireland, Europe – Geary’s Garage Ltd., a tractor dealer of John Deere and a farm equipment supplier, has launched John Deere’s new 6M Series tractors in Ireland, marking a significant expansion for the brand in the Irish market. Geary’s Garage Ltd., serving the Munster and south Clare regions, hosted two launch events to introduce the 6M Series to local farmers, emphasizing the models versatility and affordability within the 95-250hp range.

The 6M Series was designed to fill several critical gaps in the mid-range tractor market, an essential segment for Deere to remain competitive. The new range addresses various farming needs, offering tractors that bridge the gap between the more budget-friendly M Series and the premium R Series. While the R Series offers higher specifications and greater operator comfort, the M Series tractors provide a cost-effective option for smaller farmers who need reliability and performance without the higher price tag.

The 6M Series consists of 27 models, available in four frame sizes and with both four and six-cylinder engine options. The smallest models, ranging from 96-125hp, cater to farmers with lighter tasks, while the mid-range models span from 130hp to 185hp. The largest models in the range, with six-cylinder engines, can provide up to 250hp for heavy-duty applications. This flexibility allows farmers to choose a tractor based not only on power requirements but also on the size of the tractor that best fits their specific needs.

The 6M Series tractors are expected to perform well in this region, where compact, versatile machines are highly sought after. The addition of CVT (continuously variable transmission), or AutoPwr as John Deere calls it, is also a highlight, offering road speeds of 40km/h or 50km/h on certain models, making the 6M Series ideal for both field work and road transport.

The introduction of the 6M Series aims to challenge this perception by offering a more affordable solution while maintaining the high quality and reliability Deere is known for. The 6M Series is positioned as a “fleet tractor,” designed for farm operations looking for a durable, high-performance machine at a competitive price point.

The 6M Series has generated significant interest, and the company is on track to meet its sales targets for the year. With this new range, John Deere is well-positioned to compete more effectively in the highly competitive mid-range tractor market, making it an appealing choice for farmers across Ireland.
