Turin, Italy- Iveco Group N.V. has announced a leadership transition in its Powertrain Business Unit, with Mr. Sylvain Blaise set to leave the company on 29 June 2026 to become CEO of Manitou Group.
Blaise has spent 24 years with Iveco Group, holding several senior leadership roles. Since the creation of the independent Iveco Group in 2022, he has led FPT, guiding the business through major industry challenges while delivering stable performance and supporting the Group’s overall growth. He will remain in his current role until the end of June to ensure a smooth transition.
Iveco Group also confirmed that Mr. Simone Curti will take over as President of the Powertrain Business Unit from 30 June 2026. He will join the Senior Leadership Team and report directly to Olof Persson, CEO of Iveco Group.
Curti joined the company in 2004 after earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from Politecnico di Torino. Over the years, he has held senior roles across the Truck and Powertrain Business Units and currently leads commercial operations for the Truck Business Unit in EMEA.
Olof Persson thanked Sylvain Blaise for his contribution to customers, partners and the Powertrain team, highlighting FPT’s progress in innovation, technology development, efficiency and resilience under his leadership. He also expressed confidence that Simone Curti’s broad experience across engineering, quality, industrial platforms, customer management and commercial operations will help accelerate Iveco Group’s Powertrain business.
