Moline, Illinois – Deere & Company., an agricultural equipment manufacturer, has introduced an electronically controlled eHydro transmission for its model year 2027 5E 3-Cylinder utility tractors, ranging from 50 to 100 hp. The new system is designed to make tractor operation easier, more intuitive and more efficient for a wide range of users.
The eHydro transmission features TwinTouch pedals for simple forward and reverse movement, automotive-style cruise control, SpeedMatch, LoadMatch, MotionMatch and speed governance. Together, these functions help maintain consistent performance, reduce stalling, improve operator control and support safer operation across different tasks and terrain.
According to John Deere, the system is intended to reduce the learning curve for new operators while improving productivity and reducing fatigue for experienced users. The 5E tractors will also continue to be offered with SynShuttle and PowrReverser transmission options.
The updated 5E lineup includes the 5050E, 5060E, 5067E, 5075E, 5090E and 5100E models. Customers can choose from premium cab, standard cab and open operator station configurations. All models come standard with a Category 2 rear hitch, independent PTO and two rear hydraulic selective control valves, with a third valve available as an option.
John Deere has also added several comfort and usability upgrades, including go-home lighting for improved visibility in low-light conditions, a smaller steering wheel, improved electrical connections and a swivel seat on select cab models. These updates are aimed at improving comfort, visibility and operator confidence during long working hours.
