Moline, Illinois – Deere & Company., a construction machinery manufacturer, has expanded its production-class equipment portfolio with the launch of the new 844 and 904 X-Tier Wheel Loaders, designed for high-production material handling applications.

The new loaders feature John Deere’s Electric Variable Transmission (EVT), which delivers smoother operation, faster response and improved fuel efficiency compared with conventional drivetrain systems. The EVT also supports single-pedal control and helps maintain hydraulic performance independent of engine speed.

Designed for demanding jobsites, the 844 and 904 X-Tier models include Pile Slip Assist to improve traction and bucket fill. Larger high-strength steel buckets allow operators to move more material per pass while helping reduce tire wear and operating costs.

The machines offer two operating modes. Standard Mode can deliver up to 15% fuel savings, while Performance Mode can increase productivity by up to 5% in high-demand applications. John Deere says these improvements can help reduce total cost of ownership by up to 4% compared with previous models.

Optional Advanced Vision System and Advanced Object Detection features are available to improve operator visibility and jobsite awareness. The systems use side and rear cameras with projected reverse path lines displayed inside the cab.

The new 844 and 904 X-Tier Wheel Loaders are also supported by John Deere Operations Center, remote diagnostics, service plans and electric-drive component coverage of up to five years or 15,000 hours.
