Moline, Illinois - Deere & Company., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has launched its new L-III skidder machines, combining advanced technology with operator-focused comfort to enhance productivity in the forestry industry. The new lineup features redesigned cabs, improved serviceability, and enhanced visibility, aimed at maximizing uptime and transforming operations in the woods.
The L-III skidders offer two package options—base and premium—both equipped with redesigned operator seats that tilt, extend, and provide three operating positions: forward, rear, and a newly added right-side door-facing option. The premium package further elevates comfort with vented leather seats, built-in heating and cooling, seven-way adjustability, and air-operated bolsters for personalized support during long workdays.
Visibility has been a key focus in the new design. Standard LED lights on the front, rear, and boom, combined with improved in-cab dome lighting, provide clear sightlines in low-light conditions. The premium lighting package offers high beams, grill, and service lights with 200% more output than previous models, ensuring operators can safely and efficiently manage tasks even in darkness.
Advanced operator assistance includes optional blade-view and tong-view cameras on premium models, giving precise visuals for tasks requiring accurate positioning. Camera feeds can be displayed on either primary or secondary screens, offering flexibility during operations.
The L-III lineup also incorporates upgraded diagnostics and remote access features. Remote Display Access (RDA) allows dealers, owners, and support personnel to view and interact with machine displays remotely, enabling quick troubleshooting, data access, and machine adjustments.
The L-III skidders are positioned as a next-generation solution for forestry operations, combining rugged performance with modern technology and ergonomic design.
