OLATHE, Kansas - Deere & Company., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced a new lineup of High-Speed Disks (HSD), designed for dual-season use with superior field finish and residue management. Factory-equipped with autonomy capabilities, the new HSD series replaces the largest 2680H models. Available in sizes from 25' to 45', these disks cater to a wide range of tractors and farming needs.

The new high-speed disk is designed to help farmers manage post-harvest residue and prepare seedbeds more efficiently. With improved residue flow, it minimizes plugging in challenging tillage conditions like high moisture or heavy residue. An added 4" between the disk and finishing basket enhances overall residue management.

Mr. Michael Porter, Go-to-market manager for tillage equipment at John Deere, said, "The new John Deere high-speed disk series was designed with farmer input. Field preparation is a critical part of the production system and providing an opportunity for farmers to get the work done in a minimal amount of time is critical during post-harvest and pre-planting time periods. By increasing the distance between disks and basket, we found the tool had better residue flow from previous models, leading to even better field finish in high-residue conditions. This allows the tools to be pulled up to 14 mph, allowing more acres to be covered in less time in tight weather windows. That's a game changer."

John Deere's high-speed disks come factory-equipped for autonomy with a receiver mast, harnessing, lighting, and TruSet. Adding a StarFire 7500 Receiver enables autonomous tillage with compatible tractors. The HSD joins other autonomous-ready tools like the CC series, 2430 chisel plow, 2230 field cultivators, and 2660VT.

The new high-speed disk series features enhanced frame strength, a three-year frame warranty, and 7" tubing to reduce wing bounce. Durable cast pivot bushings with 50% more surface area offer easier maintenance. Available in widths from 25' to 45', it includes the industry’s narrowest transport options, with models HSD25, HSD29, HSD32, and HSD35 folding to just 13' for transport.
