KGM Motors UK Unveils the All-New Torres Hybrid

London, UK- KGM Motors UK Limited., has announces the launch of the all-new Torres Hybrid, UV line-up. Completing the Torres family alongside the petrol and electric models, the new hybrid combines rugged SUV design with advanced eco-friendly technology  empowering drivers to go further, live freer, and explore without limits.

Developed in collaboration with BYD, a global leader in sustainable vehicle technology, the Dual Tech Hybrid System integrates the strengths of both electric and petrol powertrains. The full hybrid setup pairs a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine (149.6PS, 220Nm) with in-series dual electric motors (176.8PS, 300Nm) to deliver a combined 177hp via a 6-speed automatic e-DHT transmission.

The hybrid-specific dual-motor transmission supports nine driving modes including EV, HEV (series-parallel), and engine drive ensuring smooth, quiet, and adaptable performance. Optimised efficiency allows for up to 95% EV mode operation in city driving and all-electric cruising up to 62mph on motorways. A three-level regenerative braking system further enhances energy recovery with intelligent, traffic-adaptive control.

The Torres Hybrid achieves an impressive 46.1mpg (WLTP) and CO₂ emissions of just 139g/km, while maintaining SUV versatility with a 1.3-tonne towing capacity and Trailer Stability Assist. A waterproof chassis enables safe water crossings up to 300mm, underscoring its readiness for all terrains.

Rooted in the brand’s rugged Korean heritage, the Torres Hybrid features bold proportions and muscular styling. Its vertical grille, skid-plate bumper, and LED headlights with Big Dipper-inspired DRLs give it a commanding front profile. From the side, angular wheel arches and 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels highlight its strong stance, while Li-pattern brake lights and a side-mounted tailgate latch pay homage to KGM’s classic SUV DNA.

Inside, the “slim and wide” cabin design philosophy creates a spacious and modern interior. A 12.3-inch digital cluster pairs seamlessly with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, powered by KGM’s Athena 2.0 UX platform offering Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, TomTom Navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity.

Luxury touches include heated and ventilated leather seats, dual-zone climate control, and 32-colour ambient lighting. Rear passengers benefit from heated, reclining seats, while clever design features such as a floating centre console, headrest hanger, and USB Type-C ports throughout ensure everyday practicality.

With a best-in-class luggage capacity of up to 1,662 litres, the Torres Hybrid transitions effortlessly from weekday errands to weekend adventures.

The Torres Hybrid is engineered for maximum protection and reliability, featuring a class-leading 78% high-tensile steel body structure and eight airbags as standard. Its comprehensive suite of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) further enhances safety and peace of mind, incorporating Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist, Safety Distance Alert, Front Vehicle Start Alert, Rear Blind Spot Detection, Lane Change Collision Warning, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

The KGM Torres Hybrid is available in a choice of five striking colours — Space Black (Metallic), Dandy Blue (Metallic), Iron Silver (Metallic), Grand White (Solid), and Forest Green (Metallic) allowing customers to express their individuality while enjoying premium hybrid performance and design.
