Munich, Germany- MAN Truck & Bus SE., has secured an order for 112 fully electric MAN Lion’s City E buses for Vilnius, Lithuania’s capital, marking the largest electric bus procurement in Lithuanian history.

The order was placed by public transport operator Vilniaus viešasis transportas (VVT) and includes 84 solo buses measuring 12 meters and 28 articulated buses measuring 18 meters. The new vehicles will replace part of VVT’s existing diesel fleet, supporting Vilnius’ transition toward cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable public transport.

The MAN Lion’s City E buses offer a driving range of up to 380 kilometers, depending on the model. They will be equipped with modern features such as air conditioning, passenger information systems, Wi-Fi, and mobile device charging options, improving comfort for both passengers and drivers.

Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2026, with the full fleet expected to be delivered by the end of 2027. In Lithuania, the buses will be supplied by ADAMPOLIS, MAN’s long-standing local partner, which will also provide technical maintenance for five years.

The order further strengthens the MAN Lion’s City E’s position in Europe’s electric bus market. Since its launch in 2019, more than 3,300 units have been produced and delivered, collectively covering around 250 million kilometers and helping save approximately 150,000 tons of CO₂ compared with diesel buses.
