Pune- Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd., is a wholly owned subsidiary of the German Mercedes-Benz Group, has expanded its legendary G-Class lineup in India with the introduction of the all-new G 450d, featuring the brand’s most powerful diesel engine to date. With this launch, the G-Class range now offers customers a diesel, petrol, and fully electric powertrain, underscoring Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to performance diversity and innovation.
The G 450d is a new six-cylinder inline diesel engine, paired with a 48-volt electrical system and an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG). The ISG provides an additional 15 kW of power at lower engine speeds, enhancing both efficiency and responsiveness.
The diesel unit produces a commanding 270 kW (367 hp) and 750 Nm of torque, propelling the SUV from 0–100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds, with a top speed of 210 km/h.

Complementing its bold stance are 20-inch AMG alloy wheels finished in high-gloss black, reinforcing its sporty and premium appeal.
Built on the proven ladder-frame chassis, the G 450d continues to offer three mechanical differential locks and a combination of independent double-wishbone front suspension with a rigid rear axle key elements that define the G-Class’s legendary off-road prowess.
Standard adaptive adjustable damping enhances comfort and control, allowing the SUV to tackle rough terrain or glide effortlessly on the highway.
Inside, the G 450d exudes luxury and sportiness with its AMG Line interior featuring Nappa leather upholstery, metal-structure trim elements, and customizable ambient lighting that even extends to the air vents.
The cabin experience is elevated by the Burmester 3D Surround Sound System with Dolby Atmos, 18 speakers, and a 760W amplifier, complete with illuminated satellite speakers.
Mercedes-Benz equips the G 450d with an array of advanced driver assistance and safety technologies, including Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, and a 360-degree camera system.
The SUV also features Dynamic Select, allowing drivers to tailor vehicle behavior at the touch of a button. The system adjusts the engine response, transmission, suspension, ESP, and steering through drive modes such as Comfort, Sport, Eco, and Individual.
