Pune-Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacture of luxury vehicles and light commercial vehicles automotive company has introduced the CLE Cabriolet in India with an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.1 crore. This luxurious convertible, which was first launched globally in July of last year, is now available in India.

Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet Design and Features:

The new Mercedes CLE is built on the Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform, which it shares with the current C-Class and the forthcoming new-generation E-Class. This platform gives the CLE a longer profile compared to the previous C- and E-Class coupes. The CLE's design takes inspiration from the outgoing E-Class coupe and cabriolet, featuring a prominent grille with a shark-nose effect, an extended bonnet, and an automatic, multi-layered fabric roof that fold neatly into the trunk. In the Indian market, it is available in the AMG Line trim, which adds sportier elements like redesigned bumpers.

The CLE Cabriolet boasts a luxurious 12.3-inch instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch portrait-style infotainment display. It features a 2+2 seating arrangement with newly designed front seats that come standard with headrests, heating, and four-way lumbar support. Mercedes also highlights that the CLE is its first Cabriolet to offer separate head airbags for rear passengers as standard. Additionally, the soft top can be opened or closed in just 20 seconds, even while traveling at speeds of up to 60 kph.

In India, the CLE Cabriolet 300 features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering 258hp and 400Nm of torque. It comes with a standard 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Mercedes-Benz claims this model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
