New Delhi-Mercedes-Benz, the luxury and commercial automotive vehicle manufacture, the Mercedes Maybach EQS electric SUV will debut in India on September 5, 2024 and price at ₹4 crore (ex-showroom). The Maybach EQS is the SUV variant of the Maybach S-Class electric sedan, was first unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show last year and is already available in international markets. This launch marks the second electric vehicle from the German automaker this year, following the introduction of the EQA electric SUV in July.
Mercedes-Maybach EQS Features:
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS equipped with high-end features. It will include the latest MBUX Hyperscreen, enhanced with unique Maybach visuals, and a digital driver display. Rear passengers will enjoy upgraded amenities such as 11.6-inch personal infotainment screens on the back of the front seats, powered window curtains, and dedicated rear controls for entertainment. Additionally, the SUV will feature a 15-speaker Burmester 4D surround sound system, ambient lighting with 253 LEDs and 64 color options, and a range of other luxurious details.
This electric SUV is offered in two versions: the EQS 680 and the EQS 580. In India, the EQS 680 variant is expected to be available. This model features dual electric motors and all-wheel drive, supported by a 107.8 kWh battery pack that provides a range of up to 600 kilometers on a single charge.
It delivers up to 649 horsepower and 950 Nm of peak torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 210 km/h. Mercedes is expected to provide five driving modes: Eco, Sport, Off-road, Individual, and Maybach.
The Maybach EQS SUV will be equipped with a range of advanced safety features, including ten airbags, a 360-degree camera system, and ADAS technology. It will also offer ABS, EBD, traction control, and hill hold assist for enhanced driving safety.
