Shanghai, China- NIO Inc., a Chinese manufacturer of premium smart electric vehicles has officially launched its All-New ES8, the three-row smart EV to reach its third generation, embodying a decade of NIO’s technological innovation. Available in six- and seven-seater layouts, it features a class-leading 6.2 m² cabin, a 1.4 m² panoramic glass roof, and well-designed storage solutions, including a 230L front trunk, 547L rear trunk, and 132L underfloor compartment, providing ample space for six passengers and twelve suitcases. The six-seater variant includes three zero-gravity seats with ultra-wide leg support and reclining capability in both the second and third rows. Coupled with five-zone intelligent climate control, a smart 8.8L drawer fridge, and 242 acoustic optimizations, the cabin delivers unmatched comfort and convenience.
Performance is powered by NIO’s latest 900V architecture with a 102 kWh battery, dual motors generating 520 kW and 700 N·m, enabling 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 3.97 seconds. Aerodynamic optimizations and dual-chamber air suspension offer a smooth ride, while 4D Smart Suspension, EasyTurn steering, and Smart Wet Mode enhance agility and safety. The All-New ES8 also integrates NX9031 and Qualcomm SA8295P chips, running the full-domain SkyOS, allowing unified management of connectivity, vehicle control, smart driving, smart cabin, and mobile apps.
Safety remains a priority, with 72 crash tests exceeding global standards, a robust multi-beam occupant cage, 11 airbags, and an advanced smart restraint system adapting to occupant size and position. The AQUILA Super Sensing System with 31 sensors, including LiDAR and 4D imaging radar, supports NIO Assisted and Intelligent Driving (NAD) for 350° perception and model-based decision-making.
NIO’s charging and swapping network, with 8,173 stations nationwide, including 3,458 swap stations and 4,715 charging points, ensures seamless long-distance travel and eliminates range anxiety for large EVs.
Design-wise, the All-New ES8 embodies NIO’s third-generation design philosophy, “Design for Success,” featuring a floating roofline, flush windows, dual-layer daytime running lights, and the longest LED taillight in the industry. Inside, the cabin blends luxury and technology with Nappa leather seats, diamond quilting, wood accents, ambient lighting, and the Skyline display with nine themes, including the debuting “Galaxy Walk,” inspired by the Milky Way.
