Tokyo, Japan- Subaru Corporation., formerly Fuji Heavy Industries, Ltd., is a Japanese multinational corporation and conglomerate company has unveiled the all-new 2026 Subaru Uncharted (U.S. model) in New York City, marking the third entry in the company’s global battery electric vehicle (BEV) lineup. Positioned as a compact crossover, the Uncharted blends everyday usability with confident, responsive performance tailored to modern electric driving.
The name “Uncharted” reflects the model’s adventurous spirit, symbolizing the freedom to explore new destinations and embrace new experiences. With its clean, seamless front-end styling, high-contrast surfaces, and compact yet sporty proportions, the Uncharted projects a bold and rugged visual presence.
Inside, the cabin continues this dynamic theme, featuring bright orange accents, a sharply styled horizontal instrument panel, and a spacious, airy interior designed for comfort and versatility.
The Uncharted is powered by a 74.7-kWh high-capacity lithium-ion battery, delivering over 300 miles of range in front-wheel-drive configuration and more than 280 miles in the all-wheel-drive variant. A battery preconditioning system allows for rapid charging replenishing from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes. Like the new 2026 Solterra and Trailseeker, the Uncharted comes standard with a North American Charging Standard (NACS) port.
Driving performance is a key highlight, with high-output electric motors providing smooth, linear acceleration and instant torque delivery. Subaru has incorporated its signature tuning into the suspension and all-wheel-drive system, ensuring stability and control across varied road conditions.
Compared to the Solterra, the Uncharted is 170 mm shorter, offering improved maneuverability without sacrificing cargo capacity.
Jointly developed with Toyota under the shared vision of “Let’s make ever-better cars together,” the Subaru Uncharted combines the engineering strengths of both companies. It is slated for launch in the U.S. market in 2026.
Subaru continues to advance its electrification strategy, reaffirming its commitment to a carbon-neutral future.
