VinFast VF 6 & VF 7 debut in India

New Delhi- VinFast LLC., an automotive manufacturer, has officially launched its first products for India’s rapidly expanding EV market: the sleek, smart VF 6 and the sporty, sophisticated VF 7. The debut signals the brand’s intent to help accelerate India’s transition to sustainable mobility while tailoring premium electric SUVs to local family needs, from real-world range and comfort to advanced safety and technology.

The VF 6 is a premium compact electric SUV shaped by the brand’s “Duality in Nature” philosophy, blending fun with sophistication and technology with human-centric design. It uses a 59.6 kWh battery with 25-minute DC fast charging from 10% to 70% and delivers an ARAI-certified range of up to 468 km. With a 2,730 mm wheelbase and 190 mm of ground clearance, it’s tuned for Indian roads and family use. Customers can choose from Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity variants in two interior color themes. VF 6 Earth offers 130 kW and 250 Nm with independent rear suspension and multiple drive modes, plus a 12.9-inch infotainment screen, automatic climate control, a powered driver’s seat, cruise control, and a piano-style gear selector with electronic parking brake and auto hold. VF 6 Wind steps up to 150 kW and 310 Nm, doing 0–100 km/h in 8.9 seconds, and adds ventilated front seats, an 8-way powered driver seat, dual-zone AC with ionizer and PM1.0 filtration, a color head-up display, Adaptive Cruise Control, full Level 2 ADAS, an 8-speaker audio system, and 18-inch machine-cut wheels. Wind Infinity further elevates the experience with an edge-to-edge fixed panoramic glass roof. ARAI ranges are 468 km for Earth and 463 km for Wind.

Positioned above it, the VF 7 brings an “Asymmetric Aerospace” design language with bold exteriors and a premium cabin. At over 4.5 meters in length and riding on a 2,840 mm wheelbase, it offers both FWD and AWD configurations, two battery sizes (59.6 kWh and 70.8 kWh), and five variants: Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity, with two interior color options. VF 7 Earth pairs the 59.6 kWh pack with a 130 kW/250 Nm motor and can fast charge from 10% to 70% in 24 minutes, while furnishing sporty black vegan leather, a color HUD, dual-zone AC, rain-sensing wipers, a powered driver seat, cruise control, and 19-inch alloys. VF 7 Wind upgrades to the 70.8 kWh battery and a 150 kW/310 Nm motor for 0–100 km/h in 9.5 seconds, adds a powered tailgate, ventilated front seats, 8-way power for the driver, an 8-speaker audio system, Adaptive Cruise Control, full Level 2 ADAS with a driver-monitoring camera, and 19-inch black alloys. VF 7 Sky introduces a dual-motor AWD setup with a combined 260 kW and 500 Nm, sprinting to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. Wind Infinity and Sky Infinity add a panoramic fixed glass roof. ARAI-certified ranges are 438 km (Earth), 532 km (Wind), and 510 km (Sky).

Both SUVs are generously equipped as standard. Highlights include auto LED projector headlamps with auto-levelling, signature front and rear lighting, an acoustic windshield and glass roof, reverse-link ORVMs, keyless entry and go, a powered driver seat, automatic climate control, one-touch up/down windows with anti-pinch, and a bezel-less auto-dimming IRVM. Safety and assistance tech spans ABS, EBD, BA, ESC, TCS, HSA, ROM, ESS, all-disc brakes, rain-sensing wipers, seven airbags, a direct TPMS, a 360-degree surround view monitor, and cruise control. A 12.9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected-car functionality, multiple drive and regeneration modes, and a 6-speaker audio system round out the core package, with higher trims adding premium amenities where specified.

With local manufacturing at Thoothukudi and integrated partnerships across charging, software, and after-sales, VinFast is positioning the VF 6 and VF 7 as accessible yet premium choices for Indian families—pairing meaningful range and quick charging with comfort, safety, and technology to help shape the country’s electric future.
