Osaka, Japan - YANMAR Holding Co., Ltd., an agricultural machinery company, has launched four new models in its flagship YT4S/5S tractor series, targeting large-scale farming operations with higher power, precision guidance and improved operator comfort.
The new tractors are powered by common rail diesel engines delivering 88 hp to 114 hp. The top-end YT5114S offers 114 hp and a hydraulic lift capacity of 4,500 kgf, allowing it to handle larger and heavier implements for demanding tillage and towing applications.
A key feature of the series is Yanmar’s in-house developed I-HMT continuously variable transmission. The system automatically selects the most suitable working speed based on field conditions and operating needs, helping improve efficiency while providing smoother driving without shift shock.
Models with the G specification come equipped with RTK-GNSS-based Straight-Line Assist. By setting reference points, the system enables accurate parallel operation with approximately ±2–3 cm accuracy, supporting precision tasks such as seeding while reducing operator fatigue.
The tractors also include automatic implement lift during headland turns. Once the implement is lowered again, Straight-Line Assist is reactivated, allowing operators to continue fieldwork more easily.
Yanmar has also updated the tractor’s exterior design with a new front profile inspired by its “Y” brand motif. High-intensity LED work lights, larger telescopic mirrors, a seatbelt reminder and PTO interlock system further improve visibility, comfort and safety during long working hours.
