ZF appoints a new head of communications for CVS division
Mr. christopher rimmele as head of communications for its cvs division, succeeding florian laudan, bringing extensive industry and transformation expertise.

Friedrichshafen, Germany- ZF Friedrichshafen AG., an automotive technology, has appointed Mr. Christopher Rimmele as the new Head of Communications for its Commercial Vehicle Solutions (CVS) division. In this role, he will report directly to Prof. Dr. Peter Laier, ZF Board Member responsible for the commercial vehicle business. Rimmele, who previously led Communications at ZF LIFETEC, will succeed Florian Laudan, who had continued overseeing Commercial Vehicle Communications after becoming Head of ZF Group Communications in July 2024.
Prof. Dr. Peter Laier, member of the ZF Board of Management and responsible for the commercial vehicle business, said, “I am very pleased that we have been able to appoint someone with strong communication skills and market experience to the position in the CVS Division, who knows both the Group and the commercial vehicle industry very well and is also experienced in transformation, Christopher Rimmele has been responsible for communications at the former ZF Passive Safety Systems Division since 2023 and most recently drove forward the branding of the current ZF LIFETEC company as part of a carve-out.
Christopher Rimmele began his career at PR!NT (Heye DDB) and navos (Jung von Matt), specializing in technology and change communications. He later joined the TII Group, where he managed global press relations for special vehicles and heavy transport. Rimmele then moved to Mahle, serving as press spokesman for product and technology (OE), overseeing commercial vehicle and aftermarket communications. In 2023, he joined ZF’s Passive Safety Systems division, where he played a key role in developing the ZF LIFETEC brand as part of a carve-out, successfully establishing it in the market with his team.
