Ashok Leyland subsidiary company completes acquisition of Indian EV maker Switch Mobility Automotive
Chennai / UK – Switch Mobility Ltd, a UK-based subsidiary of the commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland Ltd (recently renamed from Optare Plc.), has fully acquired Switch Mobility Automotive Ltd, Chennai.
Established in December 2020, Switch Mobility Automotive is engaged in the manufacture and sale of electric vehicles.
Also Switch UK will set up the mother plant in India to develop EV-specific platforms in buses and electric light commercial vehicles.
