Castrol India appoints new Vice President & Head Of Marketing

Mumbai- Castrol Ltd., a global lubricant producer has announced the appointment of Mr. Rohit Talwar as Vice President and Head of Marketing, who will  take charge from the beginning November 1, 2023. Ms. Jaya Jamrani, who has chosen to take a one-year sabbatical, will be replaced in this position by Mr. Talwar.

Mr Talwar will be in charge of the marketing plans for Castrol and also be a part of the Castrol India Leadership Team.

Mr. Talwar has 21 years of experience in managing high-performing multicultural teams on a variety of scales and tasks, both locally and internationally. Within the Castrol group, his illustrious career has spanned both developed and emerging regions.

Mr. Talwar has an MBA in marketing from ISB, Hyderabad, and a Science degree from the University of Mumbai. When Mr. Talwar joined Castrol India in June 2004 as a Management Trainee, his relationship with the company officially began. He has played a variety of jobs over the years, including Sales Manager, Bikes Brand Manager, and Cricket Sponsorship Activation Manager, all of which have contributed significantly to the brand's expansion. Specifically, Mr. Talwar held the position of Global Brand Manager for the Commercial Vehicles Category, where he was instrumental in the creation and introduction of the globally renowned Castrol VECTON brand.

Mr. Talwar rejoined Castrol India Limited in 2017, where he had previously served in important capacities including Head of Brand and Communication and Deputy Vice President of Marketing for India.

Mr. Talwar has been in charge of Castrol Vietnam's marketing since 2019. He has managed B2C and B2B marketing initiatives in this role, fostering innovation and generating significant revenue growth in the Vietnamese market.

For her tremendous efforts while serving as VP and Head of Marketing, Castrol India would like to sincerely thank Ms. Jaya Jamrani. In accordance with bp's flexible working strategy, Ms. Jamrani has chosen to take a well-earned vacation.
