DICV reached an export milestone, and to begin CKD exports to Malaysia

Chennai – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) of Oragadam, near Chennai, a subsidiary of Germany’s Daimler AG, has reached a milestone of exporting over 35,000 commercial vehicle (32,000 trucks and 3,500 buses) and 150 million parts as CKD kits. Now they have also initiated of CKD (Complete Knockdown Kit) kits to Malaysia as a new market.

DICV already exports these to Kenya, South Africa, Vietnam and Indonesia. Daimler produces engines, transmissions, trucks and buses at the same site under four brands – BharatBenz, FUSO, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner.

By shipping more and more Indian-made products to an increasing number of overseas markets, DICV is helping India become an international manufacturing hub.”
