Neu-Isenburg, Germany- Jost-Werke SE., a manufacture and supplier of safety-critical systems for the commercial vehicle industry, has officially opened its second production plant in India is located in the Hiranandani group's Greenbase Industrial and Logistics Park and is designed to manufacture front loaders, related equipment, and backhoes for the company's well-known agricultural brand, Quicke. JOST India Auto Component formally opened the new factory on November 23. In order to produce fifth wheels, axles, suspensions, and other items linked to the transport business line, which has been operating and expanding successfully, the first plant in Jamshedpur was established in 2008.

The brand Quicke now has the space and capability to keep up with the growing demand thanks to its new home in Chennai. JOST is investing in production facilities in the nation, just like it does in other significant global markets, in order to take advantage of the best possible use of local resources for reaching markets outside of India.

Constructed in under 12 months, the Chennai plant boasts modern manufacturing technologies and assembly lines spread across 16,866 square meters. Its strategic location near the port in the industrially vibrant Oragadam area places it conveniently amid leading multinational commercial vehicle manufacturers, passenger vehicle manufacturers, and global R&D centers.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Joachim Dürr, CEO of JOST Werke SE, and other senior management officials. Michaela Küchler, the German Consulate General to India, was also present. The newly established facility comprises 15,089 square meters of production area and 17,770 square meters of office space.

Joachim Dürr, CEO of JOST Werke SE, said that, "The establishment of the Chennai facility is an important step for JOST and its customers – a competitive manufacturing location for our agricultural product range and a commitment to the strongly growing Indian Tractor OEMs and the Indian agricultural market in general. As a valuable addition to our successful operation in Jamshedpur, it also supports our Transport business and customers".

This expansion in Chennai complements JOST's existing successful operation in Jamshedpur. The company aims to enhance its support to the transportation business through this strategic move.
