      Chennai- Ashok Leyland Limited., a commercial vehicle manufacture, of Hinduja Group., has released the July 2024, sales update. Domestic vehicle registrations experienced varied results. M&HCV truck registrations decreased by 20% from July 2023, while M&HCV buses saw a notable 26% increase. This resulted in a 14% decline in total M&HCV registrations for the month, though there was a modest 2% cumulative increase. Light Commercial Vehicles (LCVs) remained stable month-to-month and showed a 3% growth cumulatively. Total vehicle registrations fell by 9% for the month but increased by 2% cumulatively.

      When including exports, the trends are somewhat similar. M&HCV truck registrations dropped by 20%, but M&HCV buses experienced a 31% rise. Overall, total M&HCV registrations decreased by 12% for the month but grew by 2% cumulatively. LCV registrations held steady for the month and grew by 4% cumulatively. Total vehicle registrations decreased by 8% for the month but saw a 3% increase cumulatively.
