Amazone has partnered with VSS Machinebouw to expand the plough range with a furrow packer, enhancing its offerings.

Hasbergen, Germany – Amazone H. Dreyer GmbH & Co. KG., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has partnership with VSS Machinebouw B.V., an agricultural machinery manufacturer and a brand of VSS Agro. This collaboration will expand Amazone’s plough range with the addition of the furrow packer, further enhancing its offerings in this segment.
The integrated VSS Agro furrow press packer system, available in different equipment levels, is designed to be compatible with the Teres 300 and Teres 300 V models, as well as the Cayros XMS with 3 or 4 furrows, as long as these models are not equipped with hydraulic overload protection.
The furrow press packer runs parallel to the plough and automatically adjusts to the working width, preventing the repeated reconsolidation of specific areas. This ensures even soil consolidation, even when there are variations in working width. It is effective from the very first furrow and enables ploughing close to the field edge on the headland without any issues.
VSS Machinebouw offers packer rings in multiple sizes to suit different soil conditions. The 710 mm rings, when combined with an Amazone plough, deliver optimal reconsolidation, particularly on heavy soils. The packer’s pressure can be conveniently adjusted either mechanically using stop screws or hydraulically for greater flexibility in the field.
The fixed connection to the plough significantly reduces transport time between the yard and the field, as there is no need to transport the packer separately. Additionally, the packer is designed in Amazone’s signature livery, ensuring a seamless integration with the brand’s equipment.
