Turin, Italy - Iveco Group NV., an automobile company, has signed a contract with the Italian Ministry of Defence’s Direzione Armamenti Terrestri (DAT) to supply 1,453 tactical-logistic trucks. The vehicles, slated for delivery between 2025 and 2038, will play a key role in modernizing the Italian Army's tactical-logistic fleet. The total contract is valued at 755 million euros.
The contract covers the supply of various military logistic platforms based on the new IDV truck range, featuring tactical cabins. These vehicles, to be produced at the Iveco Group Piacenza plant, will come in multiple configurations, including troop and material transport, water and fuel tankers, container carriers, recovery vehicles, and towing systems.
