Mahindra Group appoints new Group Chief Sustainability Officer

Mumbai- Mahindra Group., has appointed Mr. Ankit Todi as the new Group Chief Sustainability Officer. Since joining the company in 2022, Ankit has played a pivotal role in developing the group's updated ‘Planet Positive’ sustainability strategy.

He has led the Group Sustainability CEO Council and spearheaded Mahindra's engagement with global platforms like the World Economic Forum, United Nations Global Compact, and Sustainable Markets Initiative, along with various domestic industry associations.

Ankit reports to Ms. Abanti Sankaranarayanan, Group Public Affairs Officer, Mahindra Group and Member – Group Executive Board. Commenting on the appointment, Abanti said, “Ankit’s promotion from within the organization underscores Mahindra Group’s commitment to nurturing a robust pipeline of future leaders. Ankit has driven strong outcomes by integrating business strategy with sustainability initiatives. He has significantly contributed to driving sustainability roadmaps and actions across the Group’s businesses, reinforcing Mahindra’s credibility as a planet-positive business group.”

Ankit holds a Master's in Information & Communication Technology and a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi. He is a member of the ‘Mahindra Accelerated Leadership Track’ (MALT) in collaboration with Carnegie Mellon University. Before Mahindra, he spent seven years at Bain & Company. Passionate about clean-tech, Ankit engages with the start-up ecosystem to bring innovations to Group Companies.
