Mumbai- RecycleKaro Pvt Ltd., a Lithium-ion battery recycler, has made an announcement about a strategic partnership with Bajaj Auto Limited., for lithium-ion battery recycling. In accordance with this cooperation, Recyclekaro will recycle used batteries from Bajaj Auto vehicles using its Hydrometallurgy technology.

95% of the high-purity battery raw materials, including as cobalt, lithium, nickel, and manganese, can be recovered by hydrometallurgy technology, which can then be used to make new batteries.

Each year, the cooperation is anticipated to recycle 500 metric tonnes of used batteries. This ambitious project will support global sustainability goals and the tenets of a circular economy by drastically reducing battery waste as well as improving resource utilisation.

This campaign highlights the urgent need for sustainable practises in the automobile industry while simultaneously addressing the rising problem of battery disposal. By collaborating with RecycleKaro, Bajaj Auto underlines its dedication to resource management that respects the environment.

Mr. Rajesh Gupta, RecycleKaro’s Founder & Director, said that, We are seeing a huge increase in battery waste as the EV business continues to expand quickly, which requires our attention. Our objective is to assist Bajaj Auto in their commitment to the circular economy and advance the EV market by leveraging our battery recycling knowledge.

"Embracing the circular economy is not just necessary; it is imperative," he continued. We are changing resource usage for a sustainable future by recycling these end-of-life batteries, which reduces waste as well. This represents an important step towards net-zero objectives.
