Solaris to receive orders from the city of Bologna and Ferrara

Bolechowo-Osiedle, Poland- Solaris Bus and Coaches sp. z.o.o., has received orders from municipal public transport operator TPER in the city of Bologna as much as 130 hydrogen buses. These zero-emission vehicles will be supplied by Solaris. 127 units of 12-meter Urbino 12 hydrogen buses will be delivered, with 3 more buses going to TPER Ferrara. Additionally, the carrier shall be given the choice to increase the order by an additional 140 buses.

One of Europe's largest initiatives involving hydrogen fuel cell buses has been begun in the Italian cities of Bologna and Ferrara. Undoubtedly, the city will be one step closer to realizing its ambitious objective of making urban public transportation completely emission-free by 2030 thanks to this amazing order of 130 hydrogen-powered cars. Bologna and Ferrara chose Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen-powered buses, which are currently among the most well-liked hydrogen-powered buses in all of Europe. The deal permits the order to be increased by 140 automobiles.

Each bus will be equipped with a cutting-edge hydrogen system that satisfies the strictest safety requirements. As early as 2024, when the first batch of 37 Urbino 12 hydrogen buses are delivered to the city, the citizens of Bologna and Ferrara will experience firsthand the advantages of the vehicles. In 2025–2026, the remaining vehicles will be delivered.
