Pithampur – Commercial vehicle manufacturer, VE Commercial Vehicles limited of Pithampur, a joint venture of Volvo AB and Eicher motors, introduced a new seven-speed gearbox (7F+1R) – ET50S7 – which will come mated to the four-cylinder diesel engine E494, powering its entire medium-duty truck range.
Initially it will be launched in the Eicher Pro 30151 and the Pro 1110XP2 trucks. This gearbox will aid the vehicle to operate at higher torque and eliminate the need of repeated gear shifting.

1Eicher Pro 3015 of 15t gvw is fitted with E494, 4 Cylinder 4 valves CRS engine with Volvo Group EMS 3.0 with an output of 101 kw (~135 HP @ 2600 rpm) and Max torque output of 450 Nm @ 1200-1800 rpm and earlier it is matched with Eicher 4M6SN and currently it is matched with ET50S7. The chassis of wheelbase 4490/5490 is suspended with Parabolic with double acting telescopic shock absorber with anti-roll bar at front and Semi-elliptical laminated leaves with helper leaf spring at rear.
2Eicher Pro 1110xp of 13t gvw is fitted with E494, 4 Cylinder 4 valves CRS engine with Volvo Group EMS 3.0 with an output of 101 kw (~135 HP @ 2600 rpm) and Max torque output of 450 Nm @ 1200-1800 rpm and earlier it is matched with Eicher 4M6SN and currently it is matched with ET50S7. The chassis of wheelbase 4490/5490 is suspended with Semi- Elliptical Laminated Leafs (with Shock absorber) at front and rear.
