Mumbai- Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV)., a commercial vehicle manufacturer, released its sales report for August 2024, showing total sales of 5,315 units. A decline of 2.85% compared to the 5,471 units sold in August 2023.

Commercial Vehicles reported a total of 5,055 units sold, representing a 3.42% decline from the 5,234 units sold in the same month last year. The light and medium-duty truck segment (3.5-18.5T) saw a decrease of 6.40%, with sales falling to 3,241 units from 3,463 units in August 2023. In contrast, the heavy-duty truck segment (>18.5T) a growth of 4.60%, with sales increasing to 1,611 units from 1,540 units in the previous year.

Domestic sales were 4,852 units, down 3.02% from August 2023. Export sales fell 12.12% to 203 units, largely due to a 46.00% drop in heavy-duty truck exports. However, low and medium-duty truck exports increased slightly by 0.60% to 169 units. Volvo's sales increased by 9.70% to 260 units, up from 237 units in August 2023.
