Augsburg, Germany- Quantron AG., a German automaker has reported the second quarter of 2023. The company reported a 20 million euro order intake in the first seven months of the year, as well as an order backlog and client funding requests totaling more than 100 million euros.

Foundation of Quantron Italy S.r.l

The foundation of Quantron Italy S.r.l. and the purchase of EYES Group s.r.l. from FRIEM S.p.A. were both announced by QUANTRON at the end of May. Based in Milan, Quantron Italy will initially concentrate on buses and zero-emission cars for the last mile. It has previously given municipalities on the island of Elba four fully electric minibuses, and it won a contest for six electric city buses in Turin. Fabrizio Simoni, an automotive executive with more than 20 years of experience in international organizations, serves as the managing director of Quantron Italy.

Quantron USA at ACT Expo in California

The U.S. subsidiary Quantron USA, Inc. debuted its concept for the American market as well as the first prototype of its hydrogen-electric Class 8 truck at the largest trade show for environmentally friendly commercial vehicles in the country, the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) show in Anaheim, California. With a tank capacity of 100 kg of hydrogen, QUANTRON forecasts an exceptional range for cars in this class in the United States of between 750 and 850 miles at the commencement of production. Thus, QUANTRON provides large trucks fueled by diesel in the USA with a viable option. The vehicle will be created and assembled at a US facility in Michigan, close to Detroit.

Reinforcement in QUANTRON management and supervisory board

As of July 1st 2023, Beate Reimann will serve as Quantron AG's Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She will support the business in particular during the B-financing round that has already begun, which is being led by STIFEL Investment Bank. She has a demonstrated track record of generating financial results and more than 20 years of experience leading international finance businesses. She will be crucial in preparing Quantron AG for the stock market and its IPO.

Mohamed Oun, Head of Accounting and Finance at Mesientos Limited, an Oilinvest B.V. subsidiary, was also elected to the Quantron AG Supervisory Board. Robert Schäble, who is resigning from the Supervisory Board at his own request, is replaced by him. The Oilinvest Group, which runs over 2,450 gas stations in Europe through its subsidiary Tamoil, has a financial arm called Mesientos Limited.

Greentech Festival Berlin: QUANTRON and GTL present ROQIT

Quantron AG and Goldstone Technologies (GTL), an Indian provider of IT and business intelligence services, formed the joint venture ROQIT. The joint venture's goal is to create a digital transaction platform that will serve as the foundation for Quantron-as-a-Service (QaaS).

Additionally, AI-supported software solutions that are independent of OEMs are being created for the quickly expanding zero-emission fleet management sector. The integrated platform made its debut in May at the Berlin Greentech Festival. Fleet Management, Insurance-as-a-Service, Hydrogen Economy, Greenhouse Gas Balancing (GHG Quotas), and Data Insights are its five digital pillars.

Full-year 2023 outlook

Michael Perschke, CEO of Quantron AG said, "The year 2023 is our transformation year and is marked by the ramp-up of our QUANTRON QLI FCEV and our QUANTRON QHM FCEV AERO trucks- our 2 flagship Fuel Cell products that we developed together with Ballard Power. We are executing excellently on this challenge and plan to deliver as many as 25-40 Fuel Cell vehicles to our customers this year. In addition, we are in the middle of our B-round of financing and have already been able to sign various "Registration of Interest" and MoUs. The B round will secure our scaling beyond 2024. We will use the proceeds for our "Hydrogen Offensive" and are proud that partners like Ballard Power, Fund 4 Sustainability and NEUMAN ESSER Group support our strategy and are part of our ecosystem. We will announce another investor in early September."
