Tata Motors won the bid for the order under the Government e-Marketplace (GEM), and the vehicles are designed for patient transport as per AIS 125 Part 1.

Mumbai - Tata Motors Ltd of Mumbai, a commercial vehicle manufacturer has supplied a first lot of 15 winger ambulance1 to Gujarat government which is a part of 115 ambulance order. Balance 90 ambulances will be supplied in phase wise.

            Tata Motors won the bid for the order under the Government e-Marketplace (GEM), and the vehicles are designed for patient transport as per AIS 125 Part 1.

            The Tata Motors Winger Ambulance is designed and can be able to transport all type of patient, including Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support range. The ambulance is engineered specially for COVID-19 patient transportation, with a driver partition. Its modular underpinnings and monocoque chassis, in addition to the independent suspension, offer a smooth driving experience, which is extremely critical for the swift transportation of patients.

1Tata Winger Ambulance powered with 2.2 Litre Dicor, develops 73.5 kW @3750 r/min of maximum power and 200 Nm @1000-3500 r/min of torque which is matched with Transaxle with Synchromesh gears (5F+ 1R). The chassis of 5m length, WB 3200 is fitted with Mcpherson Struts with Coll Spring at front and Parabolic Leaf Springs, Hydraulic Telescopic Shock Absorber at rear.
