Tata Motors launches it new Vehicles at the Auto Expo 2023
Tata Motors aims in for a greener and a cleaner fuel technology among the commercial vehicle segment
New Delhi: Tata Motors has unveiled its new range of commercial vehicles at the Auto Expo 2023. The new vehicles aim in creating sustainable ecosystem among the commercial vehicle spectrum, through EV and alternative fuel.
Tata G 35K:
Tata Prima G.35K is an 35000kg GVW LNG ranged tipper powered by fuel-efficient Cummins 6.7L gas engine capable of generating 280HP and 1100Nm. These trucks are offered with varied superior and comfortable Prima cabins. LNG fuel enables continuous operation of the trucks and provides a long range between fuel fillings. These trucks have been configured on a modular architecture and could be customised befitting the application requirement.

- 35T: 19m3 Scoop, 18m3 Box, 23m3 Box
- 28T: 16m3 Scoop, 16m3 Box, 18m3 Box
Tata Ace EV:
The Tata Ace EV, featuring the EVOGEN powertrain AC Induction motor with a maximum torque of 130Nm and a maximum motor output of 21.3kW. With a certified range of 154km on a single charge and a cargo volume of 208 ft3 with a payload capacity of 600kg.
The steel tank is replaced with a fibre material thus achieving reduction of mass from the vehicle to match the pulling power of the vehicle.
It offers other features like telematics (Fleet Edge), liquid cooling system for battery, aerodynamic, light-weight load body and regenerative braking to redefine sustainable mobility and safe operations. The Ace EV offers fast charging capabilities to ensure highest run time.
Tata Starbus Fuel Cell EV:
The Tata Starbus Fuel Cell EV a Hydrogen Fuel Cell bus, indigenously designed and developed by Tata Motors, powered with Integrated Motor Generator delivering a maximum power - 245kW. The bus uses Hydrogen for generating its energy needs, thus not required to be charged.
It offers modern features like improved safety, easy of boarding with its low entry and comfortable seats.
Tata Starbus EV:
Designed and developed indigenously, the Tata Starbus EV has a full-electric drivetrain, driven with an Integrated Motor Generator delivering maximum power of 245KW which is powered by Lithium-ion Battery Pack Capacity of 300 to 400kWh. The vehicle clocks at a maximum speed of 70 kmph and could range upto 200 to 250km with AC and 250 to 300km without AC. The bus comes with a standard floor height of 900mm with modern features like ease of boarding, comfortable seats and ease of operations for the driver.
Tata Azura:
The all-new Tata Azura T.19 is designed specifically to deliver high performance in terms of fuel efficiency and lower total cost of ownership. It comes with a power-packed drivetrain of NGE 3.3-litre delivering 160HP (BS6 Phase II) and G550 series MK2 gearbox known for its robust durability and reliability.
Tata Ultra E9:
The Tata Ultra E.9 is the latest vehicle in the I&LCV (Intermediate & Light Commercial Vehicles) segment. The Tata Ultra E.9 is perfect for city transportation needs as the truck is designed to address the agile goods movement across all business applications. The vehicle is driven with a 3-phase permanent magnet type traction motor with a Power of 250kW and Torque of 950Nm. It is powered with Lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 110-148 kWh clocking at a top speed of 75 kmph with a range of 120km- 150km. The vehicle has a payload capacity of 9 tones. The cabin is designed thoughtfully with a walk-through feature, adding up with roomy interiors and 1+2 seating.
Tata Winger:
Tata winger is a 9 seater 2.2-litre DiCOR engine with a maximum power of 74.9kW and maximum torque of 200Nm. It is a 9+D seating capacity used for school and staff pick up van. This vehicle has added compatibility and increased height with respect to its previous models.
Tata Magic EV
The EV version to its predecessor, Tata magic. The vehicle is a 825kg payload / 10+D seating capacity vehicle driven by with a 31 kW motor delivering a maximum Torque of 90 - 115Nm. It is powered with a battery capacity of 14 - 20kWh, delivering a range of 100 to 140km. the vehicle comes with two charging speeds as the slow charging 6- 6.5 hr and the fast charging of 1.1- 1.7 hr.
Tata Signa G. 48T
The Tata Signa G.48T CNG truck has been configured with Cummins fuel-efficient 6.7-litre gas engine, capable of generating 280HP and 1100Nm. This truck will be offered with the Signa Cabin and multiple body. These have been configured on a modular platform architecture and can be easily customised, based on the application requirement offering a range of 500+ km. The trucks are enriched with multiple value features such as- 3-mode FE switch, auto-misfire detection, automatic shut-off valves for enhanced safety and dual filling nozzles for reducing the time to fill the CNG cylinder and enabled with Fleet Edge telematics. The truck is aimed at providing huge savings in Total Cost of Operations.
Tata Prima E.28K
The Tata Prima E.28K tipper is offered with a battery capacity of 453 kWh, which provides an operating range of 150 to 200km. It is equipped with 245Kw traction motor providing max torque of 2950Nm at 3000 rpm, 2 Speed auto shift e-GBox with PTO provision, this tipper is configured with 18m3 box body suitable for most applications with proven aggregates ensuring better product reliability and life.
Tata Prima H 55S
The Tata Prima H.55S is an industry-first vehicle to move goods in an environmental-friendly manner operating with optimal cost of operations. The vehicle is powered with Cummins B6.7L H - BS6 engine, delivering a power of 290HP @ 2300rpm and torque of 1200Nm @ 1200-1600rpm. The vehicle comes with a GCW of 55000kg and a payload capacity of 38 tones. The vehicle is yet to be commercialized.
Tata Intra Bi fuel:
The Tata Intra BiFuel is a BiFuel Pickup (CNG+Petrol). the Intra BiFuel is powered with a 1.2L, Three Cylinder, NGNA BiFuel engine delivering power- petrol: 43kW @ 4000RPM and CNG: 39kW @ 4000RPM and torque- petrol 106 Nm @ 1800 - 2200RPM CNG: 95 Nm @ 1800 - 2200RPM. The vehicle offers uninterrupted operations and comes with a range of up to 800+ km. The vehicle has a Payload capacity of 930 - 1000kg. The efficient Intra BiFuel delivers lower TCO along with better fuel economy with modern efficient engine, Eco Mode Switch and Gear Shift Advisor best-in-class comfort & convenience for varied applications.
Tata Yodha:
The New Tata Yodha CNG is powerful and robust pickup equipped to carry higher payload capacity > 1800kg for CNG pickups. The Yodha pickup is powered with a Tata 2.2L CNG BS6 engine offers a power of 100Ps and a Torque of 240Nm and offers uninterrupted operations and comes with a range of 600km.
