VECV began its Bhopal truck plant operation

Pithampur/ Bhopal – Commercial vehicle manufacturer, VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) of Pithampur - the CV manufacturing joint venture subsidiary of Sweden’s Volvo AB and Eicher Motors Ltd of Gurugram (New Delhi), India –began theeir commercial operations at its new truck manufacturing unit at Bagroda, Bhopal, making it the company’s 8th manufacturing facility in the state of Madhya Pradesh with an undisclosed investment.

The manufacturing plant spans over 147 acres of and has an initial capacity of 40,000 trucks per annum, which would be scalable up to 100,000 per annum. The new facility will be utilized to manufacture VECV's Pro2000 light-duty BSVI range.

The company says its vision is to modernise the commercial transportation, and this plant has been set up with advanced manufacturing technology with connected machines following IoT methodology and Industry 4.0 standards.
