Xos updates over the air for Xos SV Stepvans

Los Angeles,United States-Xos Inc., a technology company, fleet services provider, and original equipment manufacturer of Class 5 through Class 8 battery-electric vehicles. They launched the over-the-air updates to its 2023 Xos SV Stepvans. This marks a major milestone in the commercial electric vehicle industry, as full-vehicle over-the-air updates have traditionally been limited to consumer electric vehicles.

The newest in Xos's line of electric commercial vehicles is the 2023 SV Stepvan. It has a number of upgrades over earlier models, namely the ability for over-the-air updates. This enables Xos to update the car in a number of ways, such as adding new features, adjusting the engine, and improving charging.

Over-the-air diagnostics are also possible with the same telematics control modules that enable over-the-air upgrades. This enables Xos to address charging or functionality concerns more quickly and effectively.

A stepvan used by a significant parcel and delivery operator is one of the vehicles that have gotten the first over-the-air updates. The charging compatibility of the car with the third-party chargers currently in place at the customer's terminal has been stabilized with the help of these updates, which also offer charging improvements.

Mr. Saleh Heydari, Vice President of Software Engineering at Xos, said that, We are thrilled to be among the first to offer full vehicle over-the-air updates to our electric commercial stepvans. This is a major milestone for the industry, and we are proud to be leading the way in providing our customers with the most advanced and reliable electric vehicles on the market.
